We are a village school with a strong sense of community, passionate about learning and forward thinking. We provide our pupils with the skills, experiences and knowledge needed for life long learning.

As a busy and friendly school, we aim to provide the best education where pupils thrive. We are an outstanding school with outstanding teaching and learning that focuses on every child, providing a challenging and stimulating curriculum designed to enable all children to reach the highest standards in personal achievement with a culture of strong family values and a take care ethos.

Whether you are visiting for the first time, or a regular, this website aims to give a feel for our school, as well as providing updated information for our school family and wider community.

For the first time, our pupils will be able to enter secure pages to send blogs to each other and their teachers, even complete their homework online as well as embedding podcasts that will showcase and share experiences in the classroom, outside learning and during educational visits!

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find the information you are looking for. Please feel free to
contact the school directly with any queries you may have.

Thank you for visiting!

Mrs Helen Jennings, Head Teacher

Our vision statement
We constantly develop and acquire the skills needed to achieve personal success
We learn about and respect the people with whom we share our world
We learn to treat and respect others the way we like to be treated
Our Aims
To create a stimulating environment which will reflect our values and promote a sense of self-worth and community
To build strong collaborative partnerships with families and the local community
To provide a broad, balanced and creative curriculum that combines excellence in teaching with enjoyment of learning
To establish an atmosphere in which each child has a positive self-image and where individual achievements are valued by all
To promote social, cultural, moral and spiritual development, supporting pupils to become confident and responsible members of our British and global society
To support children to understand the skills of learning: learning to learn, to compliment personal development and accessing the curriculum

We promote and teach a set of values to our pupils that will ensure they develop the skills to be good citizens in the future; these are woven into teaching and learning in order to develop social and emotional skills that will positively affect behaviour and understanding of ourselves and each other.

  • Work together to provide quality teaching and learning, with continuity and progression
  • Provide high quality Continuing Professional Development and Performance Management
  • Recognise and celebrate achievement
  • Manage behaviour positively and consistently
  • Liaise with parents and carers and provide opportunities for them to become involved in the life of the school
