Our Vision

Our vision is for Orston Primary School to be an inspiring and exciting place which is innovative and forward thinking whilst retaining its traditional village school values. We strive to create a stimulating, welcoming environment and a community of children, parents and staff who work together effectively to achieve our school aims.
Our Aims

To build strong, collaborative partnerships with families and the local community, supporting our pupils to become respectful and responsible citizens of the world, equipped to contribute and thrive in society.

To create a stimulating and enabling learning environment, which will promote a love of learning and achievement.

To provide a broad, balanced and creative curriculum that combines excellence in teaching with enjoyment of learning.

To support children to understand the skills of learning: learning to learn, to complement their personal development and accessing the curriculum.

To establish an atmosphere in which each child has a positive self-image and where individual achievements are valued by all whilst fostering high expectations.

Supporting pupils to gain a level of independence, self-sufficiency and "go-get" attitude, to grasp opportunities and develop passions and talents.
